University libraries (BU)

The University of Angers has two university libraries (BU) in Angers : Belle-Beille campus library and Saint-Serge campus library.

The BU Saint-Serge is one of the libraries in France with the longest opening hours!

The BU on appointment

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the BU will apply new sanitary guidelines for the beginning of  the academic year  2020-2021.

Access will only be allowed, if you:

Art galleries

UA's libraries host contemporary art exhibitions (Galerie 5) and photography exhibitions (Galerie Dityvon) all year round. Due to covid-19, the academic year will start off with outdoor exhibitions.

Foundation collection

The BU keeps records of manuscript collections and author libraries (Hervé Bazin, Michel Tournier, Benoîte Groult, etc.) as well as documentary collections on poets and writers whose work has been the subject of colloquia at UA. It also hosts the Centre for Archives on Feminism.

Opening hours

BU  Belle-Beille : 

Until August 31:

Monday to Thursday from 8.30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Friday and Saturday until 6 p.m.

From September 1:

Monday to Saturday from 8.30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

 

BU  Saint-Serge : 

Monday to Saturday from 8.30 a.m. to 10.30 p.m.

Sunday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. (from September to June)
